Fridge 2 repair on Friday morning

Fridge 2 in the cafe kitchen is running warm and the repair technician is coming on Friday 11 September at 8:00 am. Until then, all sandwich fillings are in fridge 1. Please check fridge 1 every hour and write the temperature in the Cleaning and Temperature Log Register. Tell Rosa straight away if it reads above 5 degrees Celsius.

Seniors morning tea Tuesday 22 September

Sprout Cafe is hosting the Peninsula Seniors morning tea on Tuesday 22 September from 10:00 am. About 40 extra guests are expected. The cafe team will need extra milk, muffins and cups in Thursday's order, and the hall will be set up with tables and the urn. Volunteers who can help serve are asked to add their name to the roster at the front desk.

Compliance

Council food safety inspection expected in October

The council environmental health officer inspects the cafe once a year and the visit is expected in October. The inspector will look at the Cleaning and Temperature Log Register, hand washing, food storage and the allergen chart. Every reading and every cleaning task must be written down on the day. If you are not sure how to fill in the log, ask Rosa or Josh.

Enrolment week 5 to 9 October

Enrolment week for term four runs from Monday 5 October to Friday 9 October. The enrolment table will be in the foyer from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm each day. Learners on placement are welcome to help new learners with the enrolment form. Welcome packs are being prepared by the learning centre team. Please direct anyone asking about courses to the enrolment table.

Evacuation drill this term

The term three evacuation drill will be held in the week of 12 October. When the alarm sounds, leave by the nearest exit, help anyone who needs it and go to the assembly point on the front lawn. Wardens will wear orange caps. Please read the Emergency Management and Evacuation Plan on the noticeboard in your area before the drill.
