The situation

What has happened

Enrolment week for term four runs from 5 October. Amrit Gill has asked you to help at the enrolment table in the foyer. You will sit with new learners, go through the Learner Enrolment and Support Needs Form with them, explain the privacy statement in plain words and add each person to the Learner Register. One of the people you enrol, Daniel Waters, wears a hearing aid and wants the Cafe skills program, and another has never used a computer and is nervous about it. Amrit also wants you to write your own learning plan: what you want to be able to do by December, what you find hard, and what job or study you are aiming for.

Your brief. Enrol two new learners accurately and respectfully using the form, the privacy statement and the Learner Register, make sure their support needs are recorded, and produce your own learning plan with clear goals, the help you need and the steps you will take this term.

What to look for

Evidence guide

Look for forms that are complete and accurate, support needs recorded in a respectful way, and the privacy statement explained in the learner's own words. The Learner Register entries must match the forms. The learning plan must have specific goals, honest reflection on difficulties and realistic steps. In the team catch-up, the learner must contribute a clear point and listen to others.

The student's evidence summary lists every record they created or changed in the systems named above, their notes and the tasks they ticked. Verify it against the deliverables and your own assessment tool.
