The situation

What has happened

Your placement at the hub is nearly finished. Marcus Delaney, the Centre Manager, wants to meet you on Thursday to talk about how it went and what you will do next. Your notes in the Learner Register show your attendance, the tasks you have done and the feedback from your coordinator. The job board in the computer room lists local jobs, including a cafe assistant at a bakery in Frankston, a retail assistant at a hardware store in Carrum Downs and a grounds assistant with the council. Amrit Gill will help you update your resume. Marcus wants you to come with three things you did well, two things to work on and two jobs you could apply for.

Your brief. Reflect honestly on your placement using your Learner Register notes and coordinator feedback, choose two jobs from the job board that match your skills and interests, update your resume with what you have learned at the hub, and take part in a review meeting where you talk about your next step.

What to look for

Evidence guide

Look for honest reflection backed by examples from the placement records, job choices that show the learner has read the advertisements and matched them to their skills, a resume that presents the placement clearly, and a plan with specific steps and dates. In the review meeting the learner must speak about their strengths and needs, listen and ask a question. The Task Board entry must have a real first step and a date.

The student's evidence summary lists every record they created or changed in the systems named above, their notes and the tasks they ticked. Verify it against the deliverables and your own assessment tool.
